Pureology Artistic Ambassador Ruth Roche weighs in on Fall 2016.
September 6, 2016
By: Melissa Meisel
To coincide with their makeup and closet overhauls at the end of summer, use the arrival of fall to jumpstart your client’s hair regimen and encourage them to try out new cuts, styles and ways of styling. To inspire their new back-to-school tresses, Pureology Artistic Ambassador Ruth Roche shares her Fall 2016 trend predictions and expert tips: Long, heavy fringes that sit just below the eyebrow will be huge this fall. The look works with all types of cuts. For something new that contrasts with all of the natural texture we are seeing, create sleek fringes using Pureology Smooth Perfection Style + Care Infusion before blow-drying. Once dry, use a flat iron to straighten hair for a chic look! Be brave! Embrace both the fringe trend and your natural curl. It’s time. Medium length hair with layers and a heavy fringe is a new trend for curly girls. Apply Curl Complete Style + Care Infusion to damp hair, then twirl individual sections and either dry naturally or diffuse. Tousle hair with fingers to expand the shape. You won’t regret it! As pictured, for a half-up, half-down alternative to a regular top knot … make it a double! Apply Smooth Perfection Style Shaping Gel to damp hair and blow-dry using a round brush, or let it air dry naturally for a wavy texture. Next, pull the top section back and twist the hair to create a knot. Secure with a pin. Bring the sides back and twist just underneath the first knot and create another one. Pin into place for a chic, easy look that will have them looking twice. And, finally, for the ultimate in “don’t care hair” let your natural texture be the star by allowing it to just be. To make sure you get an even amount of product from roots to ends, divide your hair into three sections: top, middle and bottom. Clip the top and middle sections out of the way. To the damp bottom section only, apply Smooth Perfection Lightweight Smoothing Lotion from roots to ends. Remove the clip from the middle section and repeat. Finish with the top section. Create a part if desired and let it be! To encourage the wave and movement, try scrunching with your hands.”
